How do I add a Lilypie ticker to my Vista desktop?

Vista does not have Active Desktop instead you can add gadgets to your Vista sidebar. Unfortunately, the sidebar is only 130 pixels wide, much too narrow to fully display the Lilypie tickers. There is more about Vista gadgets on the Microsoft site.

There are some applications available that run as Active Desktop replacements on Vista. I haven't tried them because I am not currently running Vista, but they may be worth looking into. Here is one:
